What is required to take the Hawaii real estate license exam?

  1. You must have successfully completed the Hawaii prelicense course (either salesperson’s or broker’s, as appropriate) or have applied for and obtained an equivalency to the prelicense education course.
  2. For the broker’s examination, you must have applied for and obtained a broker’s experience certificate.
  3. You must be a United States citizen, a United States national, or an alein authorized to work in the United States.
  4. You must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or its equivalent as of the date of the examination.
